Reviews
We're off the gas main out past Escondido and run on propane, and the Wolf has browned unevenly since the day it was installed. Everyone who looked at it before said that's just how it cooks. He checked the conversion instead, and it had never been finished properly.

Water showed up at a floor seam several feet from the fridge. On slab it apparently travels sideways under the toe kick. It was the drain, and he poured water through afterwards to show it reaching the pan.

Long drive, gate and keypad out in Rancho Santa Fe, and they asked for the code and the model number when I booked rather than calling from the end of the driveway. The garage refrigerator was the dead one, and he pulled the grille on the Viking outside while he was here.
Appliance down in San Diego?
Tell us the brand and what it is doing — we can usually name the likely repair before we arrive.
What happens on the visit
- You describe the symptom. Brand, model if you have it, and what the appliance is actually doing. Half the time that is enough to know which part is coming on the van.
- We test before we quote. The grille or the rear panel comes off, temperatures are read at the coil rather than off the display, and the component is tested rather than assumed.
- You get the price first. Parts and labor, in one figure, before anything is fitted. It does not move afterwards.
- The repair, usually the same visit. The common failures on this equipment are carried as stock. Anything rarer is ordered as a factory-approved part and fitted on a second, scheduled visit.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do you only work on Sub-Zero, or the rest of the kitchen as well?
The rest of it too, on the same visit where the schedule allows. Sub-Zero refrigeration is most of the week, Wolf ranges and ovens most of what is left, with Cove dishwashers, Thermador, Miele, Viking, Bosch, Asko and GE Monogram filling in the rest. Mention the second appliance when you book, because the ice maker nobody called about is usually the one starved longest.
Which parts of San Diego County do you actually drive to?
All of it. Coronado, Point Loma, downtown, Mission Hills, Hillcrest, La Jolla, Pacific Beach, Torrey Pines, Carmel Valley; the coast through Del Mar, Solana Beach, Cardiff-by-the-Sea, Encinitas, Carlsbad and Oceanside to San Clemente and Dana Point; inland through Rancho Santa Fe, Poway, Rancho Bernardo, Escondido, San Marcos, Vista, Bonsall, Fallbrook, Valley Center and Pala. Between two of those, give the nearest and a cross street.
