Reaching a technician in San Diego
The line is answered Monday through Friday, 8am to 6pm, on (858) 683-1717, and the two minutes before you dial are worth more than anything else you can do. Stand at the appliance and find the model and serial plate: on a built-in refrigerator it is on the frame inside the door or behind the lower grille, and on a range or a wall oven it is usually on the frame behind the door or under the control panel. Photograph it. Then note which compartment or which mode is wrong, roughly when it started, and any code on the display exactly as it appears, letters included.
After that you get a window rather than a whole day, and a flat $89 that covers the call-out and the diagnosis and comes off the repair in full if you go ahead. The technician who arrives does the diagnosis and the repair, and the readings come from a probe at the component rather than off the front panel, because on this equipment the display is usually the last thing to notice a fault. The repair is quoted as one figure covering parts and labor, agreed before anything is fitted. Same-day slots are available most days; if the property has a gate, a keypad or a service elevator, say so when you book.
