Cove is the newest name in these kitchens and it is always the dishwasher — same group, and increasingly the third appliance in a Sub-Zero and Wolf kitchen. Thermador tends to arrive as a whole suite chosen together, which is why a Thermador call often ends with two appliances looked at rather than one. Viking shows up in kitchens remodeled a generation ago and, more and more, outdoors, where the grill and the refrigeration were bought with the island they sit in.
Naming every make in the room when you call is not a formality. A Sub-Zero fan motor and a Wolf igniter are interchangeable with nothing, and parts for a Thermador column, a Viking rangetop and a Cove dishwasher come out of three different supply chains.
